About the Role
The selected candidate will be responsible for evaluating current processes, identifying inefficiencies, and designing solutions that improve throughput, safety, and cost-effectiveness across facilities.
Responsibilities
- Assess current production workflows to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies
- Develop data-driven models to support operational improvements
- Collaborate with operations staff to implement process changes
- Design layouts for workspaces to maximize efficiency and safety
- Conduct time and motion studies to establish performance benchmarks
- Use statistical methods to analyze system performance
- Recommend equipment or tooling upgrades based on need
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects
- Create documentation for standard operating procedures
- Monitor key performance indicators and report on progress
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align engineering goals with business needs
- Lead root cause analysis for recurring operational issues
- Develop capacity models to forecast resource needs
- Implement tracking systems for productivity metrics
- Evaluate new technologies for potential integration into workflows
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations during process design
- Train team members on new processes and tools
- Manage pilot programs for proposed changes
- Optimize labor utilization across shifts and departments
- Provide technical support during system transitions
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Operations Research
- Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher)
- Experience with simulation modeling software
- Prior work in logistics or supply chain environments
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
