3M seeks an Industrial Adhesives and Tapes Sales Specialist to drive growth in the Akron/Canton, OH to Pittsburgh, PA territory. In this remote role, you will be a key problem-solver, collaborating with customers and internal teams to identify and deliver innovative adhesive and tape solutions for industrial applications.
What You'll Do
- Solve complex customer challenges to uncover and develop new business opportunities.
- Lead educational seminars with customer engineering teams to demonstrate potential solutions.
- Partner with local channel teams to execute growth initiatives, strategies, and programs.
- Prospect for new customers within the territory where industrial adhesive and tape solutions provide value.
- Develop end-user customer and application processes optimized for industrial adhesive and tape solutions.
- Provide key market and customer insights to portfolio managers, marketing, application engineers, and leadership.
- Collaborate with 3M’s End-User Key Accounts team to drive growth with strategic customers.
- Effectively manage an opportunity pipeline while conducting strategic planning for new opportunities and regular business reviews.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree (completed prior to start) from an accredited institution or equivalent experience AND four (4) years of sales experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
- OR a High school diploma/GED (completed prior to start) AND eight (8) years of sales experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
- Current, valid Driver’s license.

- Experience articulating value propositions and system-selling.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Experience developing and managing key accounts.
- Product demonstration experience and competence.
- A strong track record of collaboration and cross-functional teamwork.

Work Mode
This is a remote position. Candidates must be located in Pennsylvania (PA) or Ohio (OH) to cover the Akron/Canton to Pittsburgh territory.
