Illumina, Inc. is hiring a Single Cell/Spatial Sales Specialist, Central sub-region

About the Role

Illumina is hiring a Single Cell/Spatial Sales Specialist to lead our commercial strategy and revenue achievement in the Central sub-region. This role is pivotal for ensuring successful market entry and penetration into the Single Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics multiomics segments. You will act as the sales lead, coordinating strategy and driving key deals.

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with Global Product Management and Regional Marketing to ensure successful entry into and penetration of the Single Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics markets.
  • Act as the Sub-regional Sales lead to coordinate commercial strategy to achieve revenue targets.
  • Develop customer relationships in the field and work with Illumina sales team members to drive and close strategic deals.
  • Serve as primary liaison to the entire Sub-regional commercial team for all things Single Cell and Spatial.
  • Be the single point of accountability for Sub-regional sales strategy for Multiomics.
  • Provide significant input into the sub-regional forecast and annual revenue plan.
  • Keep Sub-regional GM and Head of Region apprised of status of achievement of goals.
  • Create and maintain effective, professional working relationships with internal customers and product development groups, providing feedback from customers and sales to R&D.
  • Present at workshops, conventions, seminar series and other marketing activities as required.
  • Collaborate closely with Illumina Business Development team when necessary.

What We're Looking For

  • BA/BS or MS degree in Life Sciences or closely related field
  • Strong technical background in molecular biology or cell biology

Nice to Have

  • PhD degree
  • Typically 8+ years of experience in Life Science sales or a related area
  • Well-developed professional and strategic sales skills with proven ability to cultivate and grow key accounts
  • Strong technical presentation skills
  • Possesses working, up-to-date knowledge of Single Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics methods and applications
  • Intimately familiar with the Multiomics competitive landscape
  • Highly self-motivated, independent, and successful individual
  • Strong desire to win business and establish long term customer relationships
  • Comfortable presenting to and interacting with Executives
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Team player with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Highly adaptable and independent

Team & Environment

You will work with Global Product Management, Regional Marketing, the Illumina sales team, the entire Sub-regional commercial team, and the Illumina Business Development team, reporting to the Sub-regional GM and Head of Region.

  • Compensation: $126,800 - $190,200 + equity: Eligible roles may receive equity
