Launch your career in maintenance and engineering at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL). This entry-level Maintenance Technician role supports the operation, inspection, and light maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities in Richmond, VA.
What You'll Do
- Perform general maintenance including carpentry, plumbing, or painting.
- Maintain service documentation and communicate with management regarding issues, timelines, and priorities.
- Perform all facility equipment repairs and maintain tools, parts, equipment, and supplies.
- Perform general interior maintenance – hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems and repair doors.
- Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
- Move office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years field experience.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to use ladders up to 30 ft.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently or in a team environment.
- Ability to comply with both JLL and client-directed Policies & Procedures.
Nice to Have
- Good general computer skills with knowledge in E-mail, Internet, and Office Software.
