The Indiana University Foundation is seeking a Donor Engagement Associate to join our Donor Relations and Events Team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing, coordinating, and executing donor engagement activities that deepen relationships and elevate recognition across the IU community.
What You'll Do
- Manage, coordinate, and execute donor engagement activities.
- Deliver exceptional service while assessing donor needs, developing thoughtful engagement plans, and communicating targeted university opportunities.
- Own marquee recognition experiences, leading Presidents Circle celebrations, and keep centralized recognition programs running smoothly.
- Collaborate on creative and program design, on-site execution, budgeting, and post-event insights.
- Collaborate with colleagues across IU Advancement to deliver high-quality recognition experiences.
- Curate program components, partner with Marketing on creative deliverables, and coordinate logistics from stakeholder communications to post-event gift fulfillment.
- Use systems to document programs, analyze engagement data, and surface insights that sharpen what we do next.
What We're Looking For
- Associate’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in donor relations, development, event or project management; or Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience planning and executing recognition or stewardship events and programs.
- Proficiency with data and project workflows; experience with event budgets and post-event reconciliation.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license with ability to travel as needed.
Nice to Have
- Experience with technical platforms: project management tools (e.g., Adobe Workfront) and financial/reporting systems (e.g., FEM, Tableau).
