Service Express is looking for an IBMi Systems Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of IBM Power Systems (iSeries) infrastructure. You’ll work in a growth-oriented environment that emphasizes supportive development and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Administer and maintain IBM Power Systems (AS/400, iSeries) hardware and software
- Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning
- Manage system security, user profiles, and object-level authorities
- Implement system backups, recovery procedures, and high availability solutions
- Provide operational support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
- Collaborate with other teams on integration and infrastructure projects
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as an IBMi (AS/400, iSeries) Systems Administrator
- Deep knowledge of IBMi operating system, CL commands, and system management tools
- Experience with IBMi security, backup/recovery (BRMS), and job scheduling
- Strong problem-solving skills for system performance and operational issues
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote setting
