RE/SPEC Inc. was looking for a Hydrogeology Lead - Canada

RE/SPEC Inc. is looking for a Hydrogeology Lead - Canada to join our mine water management group in Vancouver, BC. As a senior hydrogeologist, you will manage key projects for mining clients and drive business development for our growing team.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and undertake hydrogeology and hydrogeochemistry projects for mine exploration, development, operations, reclamation, and closure.
  • Collaborate with mining engineering specialists on hard rock and evaporitic rock mining operations.
  • Oversee quality control, including review and approval of technical correspondence, proposals, reports, work plans, specifications, and budgets.
  • Engage with clients and participate in business development activities to expand services and client base.
  • Work alongside the Director of Mine Water Management to support clients' water management needs.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, geological science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of consulting experience conducting hydrogeological projects in the mining sector related to mine water management.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or Professional Geologist (P.Geo) designation or eligibility for registration in British Columbia.
  • Adept in analytical and numerical groundwater flow modelling, including developing three-dimensional geological models.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree or higher in civil engineering, geological science, or related field.
  • Contaminant transport modeling and Water Quality Predictive modelling.
