ChenMed is hiring a Hybrid Software Engineer & Workday Integration Developer who will combine expertise in Workday integrations with software engineering skills to build and maintain APIs supporting internal systems and business processes. You will collaborate cross-functionally with HR, IT, and other departments to ensure seamless data flow and system interoperability.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs to support internal applications and data exchange between systems.
- Ensure APIs are secure, scalable, and well-documented.
- Collaborate with internal development teams to integrate APIs into consuming systems.
- Implement best practices for versioning, error handling, and performance optimization.
- Design, develop, and maintain Workday integrations using EIB, Studio, Core Connectors, and Workday Web Services.
- Collaborate with HRIS and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable integration solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot integration issues, ensuring data accuracy and system reliability.
- Maintain documentation for integration processes and configurations.
- Work closely with HR, Finance, and IT teams to understand business needs and deliver technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and code reviews.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of professional software development experience.
- 1+ year of experience in Object-oriented programming (e.g., C#, .NET).
- Experience with RESTful APIs and HTTP.
- Experience with Relational or non-relational databases (e.g., SQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with Version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub).
- Experience in writing and maintaining tests (unit, integration, acceptance).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
- 1+ years of experience with Workday integrations (Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Web Services).
- Strong understanding of data structures, system architecture, and security best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
Nice to Have
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular or React.
- Experience with System integration projects or global projects.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and business processes.
- High regard for confidentiality and privacy standards.
- Agile or Lean methodologies.
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Building cloud native applications and services (ex. Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience with middleware platforms (e.g., Dell Boomi, MuleSoft).
- Workday certification(s) in Integration or Studio.
- A learning and growth mindset that is open to giving and receiving feedback.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to build trusting relationships across teams.
- Proven track record of effectively delivering results in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
