About the Role

The technician will handle installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems for a variety of clients, ensuring reliable operation and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Install new HVAC systems according to manufacturer and safety guidelines
  • Perform routine maintenance on heating and cooling units
  • Diagnose system malfunctions using technical tools and customer reports
  • Repair or replace defective components such as thermostats, compressors, and motors
  • Test system functionality after service interventions
  • Follow safety protocols when handling refrigerants and electrical systems
  • Respond to emergency service calls promptly
  • Document service activities and customer interactions
  • Comply with local, state, and federal HVAC regulations
  • Provide customers with clear explanations of system issues and solutions
  • Recommend system upgrades or replacements when necessary
  • Maintain service vehicle and tools in working order
  • Adhere to scheduled service appointments
  • Work in various environments including tight spaces and extreme temperatures
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Interpret blueprints and technical schematics
  • Ensure proper airflow and system efficiency during installations
  • Collaborate with team members on complex jobs
  • Keep work areas clean and safe during and after service
  • Stay current with evolving HVAC technologies and best practices

Nice to Have

  • EPA 608 Certification
  • Experience with smart thermostats and zoning systems
  • Background in commercial HVAC systems
  • Additional certifications in electrical or plumbing
  • Experience using service management software

Compensation

Competitive hourly wage with overtime opportunities

Full-time, on-site
