EMCOR Construction Services, Inc. is hiring a HVAC Service Technician II-III

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and fix HVAC and environmental control systems.
  • Apply knowledge of refrigeration principles and piping techniques.
  • For Class 2: Understand systems under 20 tons including air handlers, exhaust fans, gas and electric heating, and heat pumps.
  • For Class 2: Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs on HVAC systems.
  • For Class 2: Interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • For Class 2: Identify and resolve refrigerant-related issues.
  • For Class 2: Demonstrate foundational knowledge of psychrometrics.
  • For Class 2: Operate and maintain basic control systems.
  • For Class 2: Prepare preliminary service estimates.
  • For Class 3: Understand unitary DX systems from 5 to 100 tons, chilled water units, CRAC units, and pneumatic/DDC controls.
  • For Class 3: Troubleshoot complex issues on unitary DX systems up to 100 tons.
  • For Class 3: Handle all necessary repairs on rooftop HVAC units.
  • For Class 3: Conduct initial diagnostics on air-cooled chillers.
  • For Class 3: Diagnose and repair water-cooled packaged systems.
  • For Class 3: Use electrical schematics to identify system faults.
  • For Class 3: Detect and correct refrigerant system problems.
  • For Class 3: Possess basic knowledge of variable frequency drives.
  • For Class 3: Troubleshoot variable air volume systems such as VAVs and PIUs.
