CaptiveAire is hiring a HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed mechanical designs for HVAC systems.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys to gather necessary data.
  • Prepare and review shop drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for equipment procurement.
  • Perform energy analysis and optimization for HVAC systems.
  • Assist in the development of project schedules and budgets.
  • Participate in design reviews and presentations.
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new projects.
  • Develop and implement energy-efficient solutions.
  • Prepare cost estimates and proposals for clients.
  • Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors.
  • Ensure project timelines and milestones are met.
  • Provide training and support to junior engineers.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress.
  • Prepare and submit project reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate with architects and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure all designs meet client specifications.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Certification in HVAC design or engineering.
  • Experience with LEED or other green building certifications.
  • Proficiency in energy modeling software.
  • Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling).
  • Familiarity with local and national building codes.
  • Experience with energy audits and assessments.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy systems.
  • Experience with project management methodologies.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software.
  • Knowledge of HVAC controls and automation.
  • Experience with sustainable design projects.
  • Ability to conduct energy analysis and optimization.
  • Knowledge of HVAC system troubleshooting.
  • Experience with cost estimation and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
