SOLV Energy is looking for an HV Project Manager to lead the commercial and operational execution of Utility-Scale High Voltage Substation Projects (69kV–500kV). You will manage the full project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery under EPC or construction-only contracts.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary commercial and operational lead, managing scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety, subcontractors, vendors, and client relationships.
- Review and coordinate Generator Interconnection Agreements, utility requirements, contract documents, and system studies to ensure project compliance.
- Coordinate closely with engineering teams to align design with contract scope, budget, and constructability.
- Work with the Engineering team to align procurement and material deliveries with the project schedule.
- Review LNTP and early-stage deliverables.
- Develop, manage, and forecast EPC substation project budgets.
- Track cost performance and maintain accurate cost-to-complete forecasts.
- Generate monthly pacing reports to ensure project progress aligns with budget.
- Develop subcontractor scopes of work and support the subcontracting process.
- Manage HV subcontractors, including billings, RFIs, status reports, and risk.
- Lead HV scope management and negotiate change orders with owners and subcontractors.
- Schedule and participate in on-site project kick-off meetings.
- Participate in utility, owner, and material procurement coordination meetings.
- Hold construction schedule and scope review meetings.
- Lead coordination efforts with SCADA resources.
- Coordinate station process energization support and initial synchronization.
- Oversee testing and commissioning activities with field teams.
- Assemble final completion punch lists and turnover documentation to support project closeout.
- Ensure compliance with all energization and safety protocols.
- Manage Assistant Project Managers to ensure compliance and performance.
- Mentor Project Engineers, Project Admins, and other junior-level employees.
- Demonstrate and maintain a safe work environment, directing safe work practices in energized substations.
- Maintain flexibility in availability due to 24/7 operations.
- Travel regularly (local and interstate) to support project execution.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of work-related experience in design and/or construction of Utility Scale Substations ranging from 69kV to 500kV.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to work with others under all situations.
- Ability to work, analyze, troubleshoot, and prioritize problems independently.
- Strong knowledge of dispatching methods, techniques, and practices.
- Effective written and verbal English communication skills.
- Proficiency and knowledge in office practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and coordinate.
Nice to Have
- Licensed Professional Engineer, PMP certification, or directly relevant industry experience.
- NFPA 70e “Qualified Person” status, with safety training on electrical hazards.
- P6 scheduling experience.

Work Mode
