SOLV Energy is seeking an HV Assistant Project Manager to provide overall support for high-voltage construction and operation, ensuring successful project execution. This is a remote position requiring 50% travel to job sites across the country.
What You'll Do
- Communicate and coordinate all Project Engineer’s responsibilities to achieve project success
- Review Power Purchase Agreements, Generator Interconnection Agreements, Utility Interconnection requirements, Contract requirements, System Impact Studies, Facility Studies, and Customer/Owner Engineer requirements to ensure Project compliance
- Review LNTP/Early Stage Deliverables
- Assist in preparing project HV budgets and forecasts
- Assist in developing subcontractor scopes of work and support subcontracting efforts
- Manage HV subcontractors, including billings, RFIs, status reports, and risk
- Manage HV scope change processes
- Participate in Project Kick-Off Meeting
- Manage and collect RFIs
- Participate in Utility, Owner, and SE Team Coordination Meetings
- Participate in Material Procurement Review
- Hold Construction Schedule & Scope Review Meetings
- Schedule on-site Kick-off Meetings
- Assemble and manage the Final Completion Punchlist
- Participate in regular team meetings and calls
- Work with the Engineering team for material procurement
- Demonstrate and maintain a safe work environment, and direct safe work practices in energized substations
- Complete regular local and inter-state travel
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3-4 years of related experience in design and/or construction of power substations
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work, analyze, troubleshoot, and prioritize problems independently
- Effective written and verbal English communication skills
- Proficiency and knowledge in office practices, procedures, and equipment
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and coordinate
Nice to Have
- PMP certification, or direct relevant industry experience
- Skilled with knowledge related to the construction and operation of electrical equipment and installation
- P6 scheduling experience
