The Oregon Youth Authority is looking for a Human Resources Support Analyst to join its Human Resources Section. In this role, you will provide essential technical assistance, supporting HR business partners and classification/compensation functions while processing vital HR transactions.
What You'll Do
- Provide HR Business Partner support, including note-taking in investigations and processing out-of-state remote work requests.
- Pull assigned reports regularly for tracking and maintenance.
- Provide research support to HR Business Partners.
- Serve as backup to the DOJ Classification/Compensation Analyst for classification reviews, recommendations, and pay equity assessment coordination.
- Work directly with DAS Class/Comp staff.
- Assist with classification studies and assist managers in writing position descriptions.
- Approve and process job changes, hires, and compensation changes in Workday in accordance with state policy and collective bargaining agreements.
- Review and audit position-related information to ensure accurate job classifications and FLSA status.
- Process hardship transfers and track salary differentials in Workday.
- Update FTE changes in Workday.
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior or Development, Business or Public Administration, the Applied Behavioral Sciences, Industrial Relations, or a job-related course of study determined by the appointing authority.
- OR a Valid Certification as a Professional in Human Resource awarded by the Human Resource Certification Institute, and one-year of Human Resource experience.
- Valid SHRM Certified Professional certification substitutes for one year of professional-level experience.
- Valid PSHRA-CP certification from the Public Sector HR Association substitutes for one year of professional experience.
- Certificate in the State Certified Human Resources Professional (SCHRP) program provides 6-months credit towards three years of HR experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a private- or public-sector human resource environment or with a similar professional and service-minded employer.
- Compassionate and empathetic demeanor.
- Experience processing transactions in an HRIS system or database; experience with Workday is a plus.
- Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements.
- Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage work to meet competing deadlines.
- Committed to maintaining strict confidentiality of employee information and management actions.
- Must value and be committed to workforce diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
- References must describe a history of performing duties in a manner that promotes customer service and harmonious working relationships.
