Waste Management is hiring a HSEQ Advisor

We're looking for a detail-oriented and professional HSEQ Advisor to join our team in Queenstown, New Zealand. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health, safety, environment, and quality management systems across our organization. You will work collaboratively with all levels of staff to foster a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with New Zealand regulations and industry standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate analytical thinking, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in all HSEQ matters. - Develop, implement, and maintain HSEQ policies, procedures, and management systems aligned with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements - Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and hazard identification across all operational areas to identify potential workplace hazards - Plan and execute internal and external audits to ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental, and quality standards - Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; analyze root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions - Maintain detailed HSEQ documentation, records, and databases; prepare reports and metrics for management review - Provide professional guidance and support to management and staff on HSEQ matters and regulatory compliance - Deliver training programs and awareness initiatives to promote HSEQ knowledge and best practices across the organization - Monitor regulatory changes and industry developments to ensure organizational compliance with evolving standards - Collaborate with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and certification auditors, as required - Analyze HSEQ performance data and trends to identify improvement opportunities and drive organizational performance
