About the Role

This position leads the development and implementation of health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards. The role involves field oversight, incident investigation, and collaboration with teams to maintain safe work environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of health, safety, and environmental initiatives across project sites
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with safety protocols
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Prepare reports on safety performance and present findings to management
  • Support the integration of HSE practices into daily operations
  • Collaborate with project teams to assess job-specific risks
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment on site
  • Monitor environmental compliance including waste handling and emissions
  • Implement emergency response plans and conduct drills
  • Track safety metrics and drive continuous improvement
  • Review contractor HSE plans and ensure alignment with project requirements
  • Promote a culture of safety through communication and engagement
  • Ensure documentation is complete and compliant with internal and external standards
  • Assist in audits and regulatory inspections
  • Identify opportunities to reduce workplace hazards
  • Coordinate with regional HSE personnel for consistency
  • Respond to safety concerns raised by field staff
  • Support continuous improvement of HSE management systems
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health standards
  • Manage incident reporting systems and databases
  • Facilitate safety meetings and toolbox talks
  • Evaluate new equipment and processes for safety risks
  • Advocate for safe work behaviors across all levels
