In this pivotal role, you'll be the guardian of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance across all project activities. Your mission: conduct meticulous inspections, monitor safety practices, and enforce rigorous HSE standards to ensure the successful and safe delivery of this prestigious project. What You'll Be Doing: • Perform comprehensive site inspections to guarantee compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, project-specific requirements, and industry gold standards. • Monitor construction activities — landscaping, infrastructure works, public realm enhancements — identifying potential hazards and unsafe practices. • Enforce strict adherence to HSE policies, procedures, and standards across all project sites. • Assist in preparing and reviewing critical HSE documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and safety plans. • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, pinpointing root causes and recommending corrective and preventive actions. • Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness sessions to cultivate a robust safety culture among workers and contractors. • Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all on-site personnel. • Maintain precise records of HSE inspections, audits, and incident reports, crafting detailed reports for management and stakeholders. • Collaborate seamlessly with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to address and resolve HSE issues swiftly. • Support emergency preparedness and response activities, including drills and simulations. • Stay ahead of the curve with local HSE regulations and international standards, ensuring their precise application to the project. What Required Skills You'll Bring: • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum of 8 years of experience as an HSE Inspector, preferably in landscaping, infrastructure, or beautification projects. • Robust knowledge of local HSE regulations, international standards, and best practices. • Proven experience in conducting site inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare comprehensive reports and engage effectively with stakeholders. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). What Desired Skills You'll Bring: • NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE certification is highly preferred. • Experience working on large-scale urban beautification or public realm projects. • Familiarity with environmental sustainability practices and green initiatives. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail. • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
