LyondellBasell (LYB) is looking for an HR Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as the primary HR Partner for its Advanced Polymer Solutions (APS) area, supporting multiple critical sites. In this role, you will provide day-to-day HR support to leaders and colleagues, focusing on organizational effectiveness, employee relations, leadership coaching, and driving a positive site culture.
What You'll Do
- Partner with client leaders to execute HR strategies that enable APS business objectives.
- Provide timely, effective coaching to develop strong, transformational leadership skills.
- Develop and maintain a positive, productive work environment ensuring consistent application of company guidance.
- Provide strategic coaching on succession planning, career path development, and performance management.
- Embrace the new operating model, seeking more efficient ways to operate.
- Drive efficiency and consistency across site functions to improve culture and employee engagement.
- Lead and coach site leadership on HR processes including employee advocacy, relations, performance management, talent assessment, and workplace investigations.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and HR Operations teams to execute business and site-specific strategies.
- Ensure all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated, and resolved.
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and make disciplinary action recommendations.
- Provide advice and counsel to ensure 100% compliance with policies and practices.
- Lead key HR processes including compensation planning and compliance.
- Act as a passionate employee advocate helping employees succeed.
- Conduct HR training for processes like Performance Development, People Review, Salary Planning, and New Employee Orientation.
- Drive People Leader excellence through training, development planning, feedback, and coaching.
- Maintain and protect confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and care.
- Lead other site-wide and business-wide HR projects as necessary.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university OR a combination of a High School Diploma and 7 years of progressive HR experience.
- Minimum of 5 years professional work in Human Resources with client-facing responsibilities (or Master’s degree and 2 years related experience).
- Travel required up to 35% of the time to provide HR support across multiple locations.

- HR generalist experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Employee Relations experience is highly preferred.

You will be the Primary HR Partner for an APS area with multiple sites, supporting multiple matrixed organizations.
Benefits & Compensation
- Salary Range: $111,360.00 - $167,040.00
Work Mode
This is an onsite position supporting APS Akron, OH manufacturing and innovation sites.
