DICK'S Sporting Goods is hiring an HR Specialist - Technology to support our Technology organization. As the subject matter expert for HR processes and systems, you'll provide crucial support through analytics, job description updates, employee relations, and teammate lifecycle initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Facilitate HR and system processes, including offer preparation, payroll oversight, and unemployment claims.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the company's HRIS (Workday), participate in system enhancement projects, and train new hires.
- Support the HR Community by developing, maintaining, and updating document templates and SOPs.
- Guide business partners on the execution of HR policies to ensure legal and organizational compliance.
- Review HR data dashboards and reports to enable data-driven insights by identifying trends and exceptions.
- Partner with HRM and Business Leaders to develop, update, or edit job descriptions.
- Provide first-line communications for daily HR questions regarding practices, policies, and procedures.
- Serve as the point of contact for all Employment Verification or special request needs.
- Support HRM in developing teammate engagement action and communication plans.
- Gather the voice of the teammate through exit interviews, pulse checks, and focus groups.
- Partner with Managers and HRM for performance review calibrations and talent review discussions.
- Work with Managers on teammate coaching, performance issues, and problem resolution.
- Assist HRM in performance management actions end-to-end, including document preparation and advising leaders.
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Communications, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-3 years of relevant HR experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with sensitive company and employee information.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Problem-solving skills, including using data to drive resolutions.
- The ability to balance business results and empathy through active listening, reasoning, and analytical skills.

- Experience with a Human Capital Management System.
