RSM is hiring a HR Manager/Talent Business Advisor Manager

About the Role

RSM is looking for an HR Manager/Talent Business Advisor Manager to develop a deep understanding of the business and assigned functional groups’ strategic plans. You will be accountable for leading initiatives that directly impact talent development, performance management, compensation, inclusion, and workforce planning, acting as an employee advocate and change agent.

What You'll Do

  • Manage relationships with functional business leaders to align day-to-day operations with firm strategy, focusing on talent experience, engagement, retention, and recognition.
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders across the firm, considering talent trends and business needs to deliver solutions that impact firm performance.
  • Partner with Centers of Excellence (COEs) and peers to find increased efficiencies while maintaining quality client service.
  • Lead the delivery of RSM’s Talent strategy in alignment with firm strategy to drive consistency across a matrixed organization.
  • Coach leaders and develop plans for career growth, leadership opportunities, mobility, and succession.
  • Leverage existing reports to gather data, conduct basic analysis, and develop recommendations.
  • Coach and advise employees and leaders on complex situations by applying comprehensive knowledge of HR and firm policies.
  • Provide coaching to people leaders on complex performance issues, including collaboration on performance improvement plans.
  • Educate and advise leadership on compensation objectives, bonus programs, and applicable regulations.
  • Facilitate talent development meetings including year-end performance, promotion, and compensation recommendations.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner or in a related role.
  • Project management experience.
  • Comprehensive expertise in HR principles, including relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Strong business acumen and fluency to understand how the firm operates and identify levers that impact performance.
  • Strong verbal/written communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to articulate compensation principles and practices with clients.
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to respond positively to change, seek and implement improvements, and serve as a change agent.
  • Operates with a sense of urgency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to be an effective team member and HR business partner.
  • Ability to support, affect, and implement change.
  • Ability to impact and influence a diverse population.
  • Sets the highest personal standard for driving quality in all areas of HR services.
  • Ability to drive collaboration and communication between teams.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Compensation range: $95,400 - $163,900
  • Competitive benefits and compensation package.
