Abuse Refuge Org (ARO) is looking for an HR Coordinator to support and facilitate human resource processes across our global organization. In this role, you will help ensure effective HR plans, positive volunteer relations, and provide administrative support to the HR function, all while contributing to a mission of providing real-time education and personal healing support for survivors of abuse.
What You'll Do
- Perform volunteer relations functions by answering volunteer requests and questions.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new volunteers.
- Assist with the processing of terminations and resignations.
- Prepare and conduct the performance review process.
- Schedule meetings and interviews as requested by the Manager of HR.
- File documents into appropriate volunteer files.
- Assist or prepare correspondence as requested.
- Prepare new-volunteer files.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Availability to perform during EST work hours.
- Availability to volunteer 8-10 hours per week.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Nice to Have
- A Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field and/or equivalent experience.
Team & Environment
You will report directly to the Manager of HR and work within a global, remote team environment dedicated to supporting personal healing journeys and providing education on various forms of abuse. ARO fosters an inclusive culture, actively supporting the LGBTQ-IA+ and disabled communities.

This is a global, remote volunteer position.
