Touro University is hiring a Housekeeper

Responsibilities

• Empty and sanitize trash containers, replacing liners as required
• Dust and mop all hard flooring surfaces
• Completely vacuum carpeted areas, including edges and corners
• Reposition furniture to its designated layout after cleaning
• Report any signs of damage, graffiti, or vandalism to the lead housekeeper or supervisor
• Clean glass panels on classroom entry doors
• Wet mop hard floors based on foot traffic and seasonal conditions, especially during winter
• Dust horizontal surfaces including window ledges, empty shelves, door frames, and undersides of furniture (excluding laboratory workspaces and fume hoods)
• Replace burnt-out light bulbs when necessary
• Clean all glass surfaces throughout assigned areas
• Maintain cleanliness at all building entryways
• Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors
• Empty waste bins, clean if soiled, and insert new liner bags
• Inspect and replenish paper supplies such as toilet tissue and hand towels as needed
• Check and refill soap dispensers regularly
• Scrub and disinfect sinks, toilet seats, and side panels of restroom stalls
• Clean mirrors to streak-free condition
• Wipe down stall entrance panels to remove fingerprints and smudges
