Job Title: Household Manager Location: Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 Employment Type: Part-time, 10 hours per week Schedule: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 2 days a week, Monday – Friday Compensation: $30–35 per hour Start Date: ASAP Requirements: • Maintain a smoke-free environment • Reliable transportation • Up-to-date vaccinations (general) • Fragrance-free preferred About Our Family: We are a lively family of six, with two young children and two teenagers who visit every other week. Our home is always buzzing with activity, balancing school runs, work commitments, and the many daily tasks that keep everything running smoothly. In the midst of our busy schedules, we strive to create a calm, organized space where everyone can thrive. We’re looking for someone who can seamlessly step in and help us manage both the everyday tasks and special needs that arise—whether it’s handling laundry, prepping snacks, organizing the kids' toys, or running errands. Key Responsibilities: Household Management & Organization • Create and/or maintain household organization systems (toys, crafts, etc) • Daily resets and prep home for cleaners (every 2 weeks) • Light tidying (dishes, surfaces, load/unload the dishwasher, vacuum high-traffic areas) • Indoor plant care • Seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding) • Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs and items for resale • Occasional event/holiday/guest prep • Unpacking for travel (occasionally) • Change batteries, light bulbs, smoke detectors, etc. Laundry & Linen Care • Wash/fold/organize laundry • Special garment care • Linen rotation (hand towels, bed linens) • Maintain tidy laundry areas Family Support & Child Assistance • Pick-ups/drop-offs • Light supervision / back-up childcare • Prep backpacks/clothing/snacks/kid’s bags • Kid-related errands Meal Planning & Prep • Prep healthy meals/snacks for kids as needed (washing and chopping veggies and fruit) • Prep school snacks (2x weekly) • Grocery shopping, as needed • Follow dietary needs/preferences • Kitchen clean-up and maintenance Inventory & Errands • Contribute to grocery and household supply lists as needed • Returns, dry cleaning, occasional shopping • Mail and package handling • Breakdown boxes • Managing paper and plastic bag recycling as needed Deep Cleaning & Special Projects • Organizational projects (toys, gear, kitchen, linen closet, pantry, art supplies) • Refresh garage/mudroom/entry • Occasional deep cleans of the fridge • 2x yearly carpet stain treatment and clean up • Clean air purifiers Vehicle Management • Schedule maintenance • Fueling/cleaning/organizing vehicles Vendor & Property Oversight • Oversee contractors/landscapers • Research/coordinate repairs, quotes and special projects • Seasonal property maintenance • Manage outdoor spaces Administrative & Personal Assistant Support • Awareness of family calendar (including household schedules) • Receipt/budget tracking for expenses incurred as house manager How to Apply: Please submit a short introductory letter, an updated resume, and 3 professional references with contact information.
