As Hotel Controller, you will manage all aspects of hotel inventory and food & beverage operations aboard cruise vessels, ensuring seamless service delivery and operational efficiency. Your role centers on maintaining optimal stock levels, enforcing inventory protocols, and driving financial performance through disciplined budget oversight.
What You'll Do
You will lead the planning, coordination, and evaluation of departmental activities to meet company targets. This includes monitoring inventory systems, verifying deliveries for accuracy in quantity and quality, and preparing detailed reports on discrepancies. You will ensure all onboard venues are fully equipped and supplied according to operational needs.
Regular communication with department heads and technical teams is essential to maintain smooth operations. You will conduct team meetings, support scheduling, and escalate critical issues to senior management. Financial responsibilities include reviewing budgets, analyzing performance data, and aligning spending with projected goals.
All invoiced items must be accurately logged into the inventory and accounting systems, with monthly reports submitted to headquarters. You will also assign cost codes correctly and support procurement processes under established guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of progressive management experience in upscale hotels or cruise operations, with at least five years focused on inventory control
- Fluency in Russian is required; intermediate or higher English proficiency depending on role level
- Full STCW certification and valid seafarer’s identity document
- Proven leadership in multicultural, high-pressure environments
- Strong skills in customer service, conflict resolution, and team coordination
- Familiarity with business planning, resource allocation, and workforce management principles
