IntellaTriage is hiring a full-time remote Hospice Telephone Triage RN to provide after-hours nurse triage for hospice and home health providers. As an extension of our clients' care teams, you will deliver compassionate patient-centered care through telephone support.
What You'll Do
- Provide telephone triage for hospice and home health patients during non-core hours.
- Follow client-customized protocols to ensure compassionate care.
- Access Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) for charting and utilize internal applications to perform job functions.
- Complete a minimum of 30 minutes paid shift prep prior to taking calls.
- Spend 30 minutes to 2 hours at the end of the shift completing remaining charting.
- Communicate empathically with patients while adhering to protocols.
- Handle stress and multitask when receiving calls (minimum of 5 calls per hour on weekdays, up to 8 per hour on weekends).
- Attend in-services and additional training as needed.
- Maintain Continuing Education Units (CEUs) as designated by the states in which you answer calls.
What We're Looking For
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Compact RN license.
- Must live in and work from a Compact US state.
- Must have experience with end-of-life care.
- Must have high-speed internet.
- Must be tech savvy, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and have keyboard competence.
- Must be comfortable accessing multiple technology applications to document during calls.
- Ability and comfort with typing in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Must physically reside in the U.S. and be legally eligible to work for any employer.
- Must be able to complete three weeks of remote paid training conducted during days and evenings.
- Must be available to work some Holidays as required.
- Must pass background check and nurse licensing check.
Nice to Have
- Hospice, palliative, or end-of-life care experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment: ED, surgical services, critical care, etc.
- Additional languages are a bonus.

- Paid at $23 per hour once trained to originally assigned team.
