IntellaTriage is hiring a Hospice Telephone Triage RN to provide compassionate, after-hours nurse triage for our hospice and home health provider clients. In this remote position, you will work Monday through Friday from 1:30 PM to 7:00 PM CST with no weekends required. As part of our rapidly growing company, you'll contribute directly to our mission of improving the lives of nurses and patients through patient-centered care.
What You'll Do
- Provide after-hours nurse triage for hospice and home health providers using client-customized protocols.
- Manage after-hours care delivery to support clients' nursing staff in the field.
- Communicate empathically with patients while adhering to clinical protocols.
- Access Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) for charting and utilize internal applications to perform job functions.
- Complete a minimum of 30 minutes paid shift prep prior to taking calls.
- Spend 30 minutes to 2 hours at the end of the shift completing remaining charting.
- Handle stress and multitask effectively when receiving calls (minimum of 5 calls per hour on weekdays).
- Attend in-services and additional training on an as-needed basis.
- Maintain Continuing Education Units (CEUs) as designated by the states in which you answer calls.
What We're Looking For
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Compact RN license.
- Must live in and work from a Compact US state.
- Must have reliable, high-speed internet.
- Must be tech-savvy, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and have strong keyboard competence.
- Must be comfortable accessing and documenting within multiple technology applications during calls.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Must physically reside in the U.S. and be legally eligible to work for any employer.
- Must be able to complete three weeks of remote paid training conducted during days and evenings.
- Must be available to work every other Saturday & Sunday and some Holidays as required.
- Must pass a background check and nurse licensing verification.
- Must have a quiet, private, HIPAA-compliant workspace.
Nice to Have
- Experience with end-of-life care is required.
- Specific experience in hospice, palliative, or end-of-life care.
- Experience in other fast-paced clinical environments: ED, critical care, surgical services, etc.
- Fluency in additional languages is a bonus.
