Corewell Health is hiring a Home Infusion Pharmacy Supervisor to maintain accountability for the supervision and operation of this specialized area. You will promote team efforts to manage and achieve departmental objectives, coordinate process improvements, and assist with program development, ensuring compliance with all regulations while working with multiple medication automation systems.
What You'll Do
- Provide appropriate supervision and direction to pharmacists, technicians, residents, interns, and other support personnel.
- Handle human capital issues for your team, including hiring, mentoring, development, evaluations, and performance management.
- Develop and maintain standards for your area of accountability and communicate them to staff.
- Engage in continuous study of the professional field to maintain competence, knowledge, and skills.
- Provide education and counseling to patients, family, and the healthcare team to optimize outcomes and appropriate medication use.
- Participate in scheduling pharmacy staff, including schedule development, daily assignments, and coverage for sick calls.
- Participate in process improvement activities, monitoring quality, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Ensure services comply with state and federal regulations, organizational policy, and accreditation requirements.
- Provide support for patient care treatment and services, consulting on drug therapy and drug utilization reviews.
- Consult on research projects and other matters related to pharmacology.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Pharmacy degree or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
- 2 years of relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities.
- Clinical Pharmacist license from the State of Michigan (required within 90 days).
- Pharmacist Controlled Substance license from the State of Michigan (required within 90 days).
Nice to Have
- 1 year of related lead or supervisory experience.
- Experience with USP 797 guidelines.
- Compounding experience.
