UBC Sauder School of Business is hiring a Manager, Operations and Business Intelligence for its Professional Growth unit. You will be responsible for the strategic oversight and operational management of all administrative functions, including finance, human resources, technology, and client experience across multiple delivery sites.
What You'll Do
- Provide leadership and operational management in administration, technological infrastructure, and business processes.
- Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures to enhance productivity and streamline operations.
- Participate in developing and executing strategic goals and objectives for Professional Growth.
- Lead change management processes and ensure alignment on cross-team projects.
- Manage all department-wide operational projects through direct or indirect supervision.
- Advise the Executive Director on operational matters to ensure compliance with university policies.
- Manage human resource processes across multiple employment groups, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
- Provide financial management of the departmental budget, including analysis, reporting, and forecasting.
- Oversee all financial transactions and processes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with the UBC Robson Square team and external partners, negotiating and signing contracts.
- Lead, mentor, and coach the customer service team, resolving complex client service issues.
- Develop strategies to gather feedback from clients and faculty regarding the onsite experience.
- Lead in requirements definition, business process analysis, system implementation, testing, and training.
- Research, identify, and implement new systems and business applications to ensure profitability.
- Create tools and processes for quarterly business reviews, mass marketing, scheduling, and operations.
- Serve as the lead for all data and reporting needs, including rankings, revenue reports, and trend analysis.
- Analyze the impact of proposed changes to technology services and/or processes.
- Conduct market research on competitors, prospective markets, and industries.

- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Ability to analyze and select appropriate new technologies for a given task.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Strong computer skills, including intermediate proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
- Extremely strong leadership skills to supervise staff, establish performance goals, and provide feedback.
- Ability to multitask or coordinate numerous projects simultaneously in a demanding, client-focused environment.

Team & Environment
You will report directly to the Executive Director, Professional Growth and work closely with Senior Directors and other members of the Professional Growth unit.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $6,747.50 - $9,701.42 CAD Monthly
Work Mode
This is an onsite position with work primarily at UBC Robson Square in downtown Vancouver and the UBC Point Grey campus, as well as various other venues.
