AECOM is looking for a High Voltage Transmission Lines Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for the design, analysis, and maintenance of transmission lines, ensuring their reliability, efficiency, and safety through innovative engineering solutions. This role operates on a hybrid basis from Bucharest, Romania, with the option to work remotely from within the country.
What You'll Do
- Develop detailed designs for new transmission lines and modifications to existing lines.
- Perform structural and electrical analysis to ensure transmission line stability and performance.
- Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of transmission line projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
- Prepare cost estimates, project budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Conduct planning and analysis studies for transmission lines.
- Identify and implement solutions to enhance the efficiency and reliability of transmission systems.
- Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or modifications as needed.
- Ensure all designs and projects comply with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning of transmission lines.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Address and resolve field issues related to transmission line installations.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in transmission line design, analysis, or construction.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong understanding of electrical and structural principles related to transmission lines.
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in engineering software tools (e.g., PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, PowerWorld).
