About the Role
The position involves delivering engineering solutions for overhead high-voltage transmission lines, including structural analysis, route studies, and compliance with technical standards, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze overhead high-voltage transmission lines up to 400 kV
- Perform structural calculations for transmission line towers and foundations
- Conduct route selection and optimization studies
- Prepare technical specifications and construction documentation
- Apply relevant international and national electrical codes and standards
- Collaborate with civil, electrical, and environmental specialists
- Support project management with scheduling and deliverables tracking
- Review third-party designs and provide technical feedback
- Carry out load flow and fault analysis for system integration
- Ensure designs meet safety, reliability, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in site surveys and field investigations
- Assist in construction supervision and technical issue resolution
- Use engineering software for modeling and simulation
- Produce material take-offs and bill of quantities
- Coordinate with contractors and utility operators
- Address geotechnical and environmental constraints in design
- Optimize tower spotting and alignment for terrain and access
- Contribute to feasibility and conceptual studies
- Maintain design documentation and version control
- Support permitting and approval processes
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in engineering
- Professional engineering certification
- Experience with 400 kV systems
- Background in transmission network planning
- Knowledge of drone-based survey data
- Experience in international projects
