Noblis is looking for a High Explosive Instrumentation Support and Development Subject Matter Expert to provide critical technical support for Department of Defense (DoD) test teams and projects. In this role, you will work on mission-driven initiatives that benefit the public, applying your deep technical knowledge to maintain our nation's edge in countering weapons of mass destruction.
What You'll Do
- Support test teams and projects to independently develop, manage, and implement instrumentation plans and methodologies to meet measurement objectives for DoD testing.
- Conduct research, development, and integration efforts for DoD to maintain currency in state-of-the-art and emerging/developmental data acquisition systems and sensor technologies across the Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) testing spectrum.
- Ensure maximum effectiveness and fill voids in testing capabilities.
- Develop and implement rigorous processes to ensure new sensor and data acquisition technologies are properly investigated and validated prior to introduction into the DoD inventory.
- Develop test plans and methodologies to perform validation and verification testing of existing and emerging measurement diagnostic technologies and systems.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical field, and 5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, we will also consider an Associate's degree & 8 years of relevant experience, or a High School diploma & 11 years of relevant experience.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance, and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in instrumentation, data acquisition systems, or sensor technologies.
- Demonstrated experience with DoD testing environments and measurement systems.
- Strong technical knowledge of sensor technologies and data acquisition systems.
- Experience developing test plans and validation methodologies.
- Ability to conduct independent research and development activities.
Nice to Have
- Experience with CWMD testing operations.
- Background in high explosive testing and instrumentation.
- Experience with emerging and developmental sensor technologies.
- Project management experience.
- Experience with DoD acquisition and validation processes.
- Knowledge of DoD testing standards and protocols.
