Great Bear (part of the Culina Group) provides distribution services to FMCG clients. Customer centric service focus is delivered through a site-level empowered culture. We are now recruiting for Class 1 Drivers to join our team at Great Bear in Desborough on a full time and permanent basis. Shifts available: 4ON 4OFF Days 02:00am-10:00 start window. Monday-Friday Nights 14:00pm-22:00pm start window Salary: £14.89 per hour - £16.89 per hour (Depending on Shift Pattern and start times). The role will include but not limited to the following: Report to the Transport Coordinator at the start of shift Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department Maintain a high standard of behaviour and appearance Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive Adhere to tachograph rules and regulations at all times Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure Responsible for unit and trailer, including temperature checks Make deliveries to customers’ premises, acting in a professional manner at all times Immediately report any problems regarding delivery arrival times, delays or discrepancies with loads Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery Ensure regular communication with the Transport Office / Customer Services Observe and adhere to site procedures at each delivery point Ensure correct completion of a defect report as and when required. Achieve and succeed fuel efficiency targets set by the business Two Years Class 1 experience. Possession of LGV Class C+E Licence, CPC and valid Tacho card.
