Culina Group is hiring a HGV Class 1 driver Nights

Requirements

  • Optimising all routes
  • Adherence of WTD and drivers’ hours legislation
  • Controlling equipment through training received and sign in / sign out procedure, ensuring legal compliance
  • Ensuring all pallets / loads are secured using load straps
  • Effectively communicating with the Transport team and other depots
  • Ensuring retailer arrival and departure times, ensuring deliveries and collections are made within the specified windows and all delivery documentation / goods are signed for and uploaded using the in cab tablet
  • Providing the admin team at end of shift with a completed timesheet, completed delivery paperwork and advising of any equipment defects
  • Communicating any potential failures or changes to the original plan
  • Liaising with delivery staff to ensure any discrepancies on the delivery are identified before moving on to the next delivery / collection
  • Ensuring all accidents, incidents and near misses are reported
  • Working with the driver training & development team to maximise fuel MPG and continuous improvement of Microlise driving standards / techniques
  • Managing vehicle and trailer cleanliness ensuring that the company’s corporate image is maintained at all time

Additional Information

  • Shift Pattern: Any 5 from 7 Nights
  • Working between 18:00-03:59 x 7 nights a week
  • Controlling equipment through training received and sign in / sign out procedure

  • Deliveries and collections made within specified windows
