What You'll Do
Lead the expansion of health and nutrition initiatives by identifying funding opportunities, shaping concept notes, and guiding proposal development. Partner with country offices to design context-specific programs, ensuring alignment with global standards and organizational strategy.
Design project frameworks through collaborative workshops, including theories of change, logframes, and monitoring indicators. Review technical components of submissions to meet donor requirements and ensure appropriate budgeting for pharmaceuticals, staffing, and technical support.
Provide expert guidance on program implementation, from assessment and planning to monitoring and evaluation. Strengthen local teams by adapting tools, delivering training, and improving data systems. Conduct field visits to support quality assurance, partner engagement, and capacity building in complex or insecure environments.
Develop standardized resources, curricula, and M&E frameworks in coordination with cross-sector teams. Promote knowledge sharing through a global community of practice and contribute to organizational learning via case studies, briefs, and publications.
Represent the organization in technical forums, professional networks, and donor engagements. Stay informed on sector innovations to integrate best practices and strengthen program quality and advocacy efforts.
Requirements
Must have a mature Christian faith that actively informs professional values and approach to service. Required to affirm organizational beliefs and commitment to empowering local churches in vulnerable communities.
Demonstrated experience in designing and managing health and nutrition programs in humanitarian settings, including familiarity with Sphere, CHS, WHO, and UNICEF guidelines. Proven success in grant acquisition from donors such as BHA, DoS, ECHO, and UNICEF.
Strong background in monitoring and evaluation using both qualitative and quantitative methods, including indicator development and assessment design. Skilled in adult training, facilitation, and cross-cultural collaboration.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with data analysis tools such as Epi Info, SPSS, STATA, or R is preferred. Must be able to travel internationally up to 25%, including to high-risk or resource-limited areas.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in public health or related field; clinical training (e.g., medicine, nursing, midwifery) is an asset. Minimum seven years in global health programming, with emphasis on behavior change and multi-country implementation.
At least three years of experience in fragile or conflict-affected settings or with mobile populations. Supervisory experience and proficiency in French, Kiswahili, or Arabic are advantageous.
