Healing Partners is seeking a dedicated professional to ensure clinical documentation integrity and accurate ICD-10-CM coding. In this role, you will engage and educate providers, supporting their training on diagnostic documentation and coding in accordance with established guidelines and internal protocols.

What You'll Do

• Review concurrent medical records for completeness and accuracy related to severity of illness, risk, and quality.
• Recognize opportunities for documentation improvement using critical-thinking skills.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurse practitioners, PAs, and department managers.
• Perform Clinical Documentation Improvement medical record reviews based on organizational priorities.
• Develop and lead provider education regarding trends and opportunities in compliant documentation and coding.
• Manage the full lifecycle of advanced therapy patients, including identification, provider education, vendor coordination, billing, and reimbursement.
• Make recommendations for process improvements to enhance documentation and coding quality outcomes.
• Remain current on ICD-10-CM coding guidelines, AHA Coding Clinic Guidance, and CMS Risk Adjustment guidance.
• Support clinical orientation efforts and ongoing staff development.
• Report non-compliance issues to Clinical Operations for education and corrective action.
• Oversee all state reports, logs, and vaccines to ensure compliance.

Nice to Have

• RN or LPN License.
• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field.
• Wound Care Experience.
• MDS experience.
• CDI or risk adjustment coding/auditing experience.
• Demonstrated experience developing and delivering provider education.

• Competitive salary range of $65,000-$85,000 per year.
• Monday-Friday day schedule with no nights, weekends, or on-call.
