Carl Zeiss Vision Canada Inc. is hiring a Head of US Retina Business Sales. This role is pivotal in commercializing strategic objectives for the US Retina Business. You will be responsible for casting a vision, defining customers, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring sales team effectiveness, working closely with the Heads of OPT and SUR.
What You'll Do
- Enroll your team in building and executing strategic initiatives aligned to the US OPT Business Unit priorities.
- Cast a vision of success & strategic direction for the US Retina Sales team.
- Be involved in the SUR hiring process and evaluation of teams for all segments to ensure cultural fit.
- Define the retina customer(s) and the customer outcomes necessary to achieve prioritized objectives.
- Identify business opportunities and initiate steps for further growth and optimization of the sales organization.
- Work with Head of SUR Sales in setting sales plans and deployment strategies for the RSS, PCS and ES.
- Work with Head of SUR to translate commercial strategy into sales targets and forecasting for Retina Products.
- Partner with SUR RDs to ensure Territory Sales Representatives are technically competent and prepared for training, meetings, & product discussions.
- Serve as the expert when advising surgeons and medical team on use of Retina products.
- Provide monthly and quarterly reports to reflect operational effectiveness and progress toward achieving targets.
- Organize and initiate weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings with direct reports.
- Effectively communicate upstream with the Business units about inventory and product launches.
- Work with the Head of Training to ensure teams have all necessary training and resources to be successful.
- Work closely with Head of SUR sales in setting sales plans and deployment strategies.
- Responsible for all business calls with HQ to ensure US market collaboration with Global Strategy.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 5+ years commercial sales experience
- 3-5 years direct experience in US Retina Sales
- Highly agile, growth mindset & a relentless pursuit of success
- Experience modeling and advancing operational effectiveness with a solution orientation
- Ability to teach, model, & coach the behavior of high performance including outstanding sales skills and results focus
- Strength in relationship building, conflict management, influencing outcomes, inspiring trust, innovation & collaboration
- Strategic leadership, decisive & practical, and operationally knowledgeable
- Ability to identify, motivate, inspire & lead different behavioral styles of both internal & external customers
- Requires 75-80% travel
