Responsibilities
- Act as the primary representative at industry events, policy discussions, and government engagements to strengthen brand visibility and trust among top military and federal decision-makers.
- Utilize established connections to secure meetings with senior defense officials, including high-ranking military officers, senior executive service leaders, and international counterparts within defense and intelligence agencies.
- Lead and manage the global sales function, including oversight of U.S. federal and international sales teams and alignment of strategy, revenue goals, and pipeline development.
- Serve as executive lead on major strategic deals exceeding $5 million, guiding them through extended government procurement timelines using senior-level influence.
- Collaborate with policy and government affairs teams to advocate for favorable positioning within defense and intelligence policy circles, including engagement with Congressional staff.
- Partner directly with the CEO on key accounts and customer relationships that require top-level executive involvement and strategic coordination.
- Scale the Washington, D.C.-based sales team from its current size to 20–30 members within 18 months, ensuring access and support for closing large government programs.
- Support international market expansion by enabling sales teams through introductions and relationships with allied defense leaders, particularly for off-the-shelf OSINT solutions.
- Advise on complex government acquisition processes, including protests, multi-year contracts, and compliance with FAR, DFARS, and intelligence community contracting frameworks.
- Provide regular reporting to executive leadership on sales pipeline status, relationship development, major opportunities, and team performance metrics.
