Responsibilities
- Secure partnerships with top US retailers such as Target, Walmart, Costco, PetSmart, Chewy, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, Bed Bath & Beyond, and specialty pet stores.
- Design and implement channel-specific go-to-market strategies covering pricing, packaging, planogram placement, and promotions.
- Negotiate favorable terms with retail buyers, including margins, co-op advertising, and shelf space allocations.
- Oversee retail profit and loss, ensuring achievement of revenue goals and channel profitability.
- Establish and manage relationships with international distributors to expand presence in the UK, EU, Canada, Australia, and other target markets.
- Assess and select distribution partners based on retail network strength, logistics capacity, and brand alignment.
- Create localized market entry plans, including pricing, regulatory adherence, and packaging standards.
- Negotiate distributor contracts with defined exclusivity, order minimums, margin models, and performance KPIs.
- Collaborate with internal teams on global inventory planning, demand forecasting, and supply chain execution.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with key retail buyers and wholesale account leads.
- Track product sell-through, manage reordering, and refine product offerings per retailer.
- Ensure strong in-store brand representation, merchandising execution, and compliance across all physical locations.
- Design joint marketing initiatives with retail partners to boost product turnover.
- Work with supply chain and operations teams to guarantee inventory availability for launches and replenishment.
- Coordinate with marketing on retail-specific packaging, point-of-sale materials, and brand assets.
- Partner with finance on margin analysis, trade spending, and reporting on channel profitability.
- Align with e-commerce leadership to ensure retail and direct-to-consumer strategies are complementary.
Compensation
