Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate product and process industrialization activities within the plant or operations unit.
- Convert business, project, and product requirements into actionable outcomes such as investment needs, capacity adjustments, and capability development, while evaluating site readiness.
- Support strategic and operational planning initiatives, including investment, capacity, and workforce planning for the plant.
- Ensure product and process industrialization goals are met in alignment with internal and external customer expectations.
- Plan and execute investments in project-specific tooling and equipment, such as molds, mandrels, jigs, and gauges, following established standards.
- Drive continuous improvement through the application of CBS methodologies and employee training programs.
- Collaborate with segment, business unit, or business area functions to collect local industrialization needs and feedback.
- Participate in or lead global and local cross-functional projects related to product and process industrialization.
- Develop new product designs and modify existing products to meet customer demands for metal rubber components and air spring systems.
- Define product specifications based on technical requirements, considering commercial factors and supplier selection.
- Provide technical support throughout the lifecycle of commercial and railway vehicle products, both internally and externally.
- Establish, analyze, and interpret test data to support product development efforts.
- Assist in resolving customer claims in coordination with quality management and assurance teams.
- Pursue new development projects and manage technical relationships with customers.
- Support the manufacturing engineering function within the plant or operations unit.
- Contribute to strategic and operational planning for manufacturing engineering, including investments, capacity, and staffing.
- Ensure manufacturing engineering objectives are achieved according to customer requirements.
- Manage investments in production machinery, assembly systems, automation, and related engineering tools and software.
- Initiate and oversee continuous improvement initiatives using CBS methods and training.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional, global or local projects related to manufacturing engineering.
