Gebrüder Weiss Paketdienst GmbH is looking for a Head of Loading Equipment Management to take full responsibility for the department. You will lead a team and ensure our operations run transparently, economically, and reliably while focusing on strategic development.
What You'll Do
- Take responsibility for the entire loading equipment management department and lead your team professionally and personally.
- Ensure our loading equipment management runs transparently, economically, and reliably with an eye for the big picture.
- Further develop processes, introduce new ideas, and ensure we become more efficient, clear, and digital.
- Ensure smooth exchange with partners, customers, freight forwarders, and other locations, while keeping an eye on our inventories, bookings, and circulation.
- Manage purchases and sales, make dispositive decisions regarding empties, and organize pickups and deliveries.
- Control our inventories, analyze deviations, and derive pragmatic, implementable measures.
- Check incoming invoices and evaluate them in the overall context – economically, factually, and with a clear eye for numbers.
- Be an important sparring partner for the site management and work closely with our operational teams.
What We're Looking For
- Enjoy creating structures and designing processes so everything runs smoothly.
- Have a good eye for detail – whether in figures, processes, or small deviations.
- Bring several years of experience from logistics, freight forwarding, or a similar environment.
- Be organized, reliable, and like to act independently – with the necessary portion of hands-on mentality.
- Handle IT systems in the logistics sector as working tools with confidence and routine.
