About the Role
This role is responsible for leading the information security strategy and operations across the APAC region, managing risk, ensuring compliance, and building resilient security practices across technology and people.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the regional information security strategy
- Oversee security operations including incident response and threat management
- Ensure alignment with global security policies and regional regulatory requirements
- Manage risk assessments and drive remediation initiatives
- Collaborate with technology teams to integrate security into system design
- Lead audits and coordinate with external assessors
- Develop and deliver security awareness programs for employees
- Monitor compliance with data protection laws across APAC jurisdictions
- Serve as the primary security contact for regional stakeholders
- Guide cloud security architecture and controls
- Support investigations into security breaches or anomalies
- Establish metrics and reporting for security posture
- Work with legal and compliance teams on data privacy matters
- Advise on third-party risk and vendor security evaluations
- Promote a culture of security across business units
- Lead cross-regional projects with global security teams
- Ensure secure software development practices are followed
- Manage identity and access governance frameworks
- Oversee encryption and data protection strategies
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning
- Evaluate emerging threats and adapt defenses accordingly
- Drive improvements in endpoint and network security
- Ensure secure configuration of IT infrastructure
- Maintain documentation for security policies and procedures
- Provide executive-level reporting on security performance
