ArcelorMittal México is recruiting a Head of Global Compensation and Payroll to plan, organize, and lead all activities related to retirement plans and benefits programs. This senior role is responsible for ensuring compliance, managing pension investments, and providing strategic compensation advice for the global organization.
What You'll Do
- Plan, organize, and lead all activities for administering retirement plans and benefits programs in compliance with laws and regulations.
- Monitor emerging trends, best practices, and laws regarding retirement plans and benefits, recommending modifications or new programs as needed.
- Coordinate the activities of 3 pension committees and 1 investment committee.
- Manage pension plan investments and risks, including active/passive matching, investment policy review, manager evaluation, and insured annuity purchases.
- Lead renewal and re-adhesion exercises for the group insurance program.
- Act as an ambassador to promote retirement and benefits programs through training, information documents, and the intranet.
- Support the negotiation team in renewing collective agreements.
- Provide interpretation advice on compensation programs for the entire company.
- Plan, organize, and manage compensation review processes, proposing tools and processes for competitive programs.
- Support the payroll team and contribute to process optimization initiatives.
- Support change management that advances HR strategy and helps achieve company targets.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in administration or actuarial science. Any combination of relevant experience related to the job will be considered.
- More than 15 years of relevant experience with in-depth knowledge of defined benefit pension plans.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel (advanced functions), Word, PowerPoint, and other specialized software.
- Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and maintain a sense of urgency.
- Skills in personnel management.
- Recognized for rigor, resourcefulness, collaboration, and teamwork.
- Ability to plan and anticipate tasks to meet tight deadlines.
- Mastery of French and good knowledge of English, oral and written.

- Experience in compensation and payroll.
- Knowledge of SAP software.
