About the Role

Lead and optimize large-scale industrial operations across a network of 30+ facilities totaling 15 million square feet. As the Operations Director, you will oversee a multidisciplinary team of technicians, engineers, and regional managers, ensuring seamless delivery of Material Handling, Automation, Robotics, and Facilities Services in high-demand logistics environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and reinforce a proactive safety culture through consistent leadership, policy enforcement, and accountability across all operational levels.
  • Drive performance against contract KPIs by designing, refining, and monitoring processes that support reliability, uptime, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage labor, maintenance, and repair budgets with precision, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising service quality.
  • Lead the development and execution of Quality Maintenance programs to maximize equipment effectiveness and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Implement standardized work practices and leader routines to reduce variability and strengthen operational discipline.
  • Respond swiftly to client concerns with root cause analysis and corrective action planning, maintaining strong client partnerships.
  • Monitor daily performance metrics to detect trends, deploy interventions, and scale best practices enterprise-wide.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations across all operational domains.
  • Collaborate with senior client stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into actionable operational plans.
  • Support a matrixed service model by aligning regional operations under a unified technical and managerial framework.

Qualifications and Skills

You bring a proven record of leading technical teams in complex, around-the-clock environments. Your leadership fosters accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Strong technical aptitude with hands-on experience resolving critical system failures and managing maintenance operations.
  • Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems; experience with Infor EAM is preferred.
  • Expertise in preventive maintenance, reliability engineering, quality assurance, and business continuity planning.
  • Skilled in contract management, budget oversight, and client relationship management.
  • Excellent communication abilities, with executive presence and a customer-first mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify talent, build teams, and lead through influence.
  • High attention to detail, urgency, and a relentless focus on operational excellence.

Work Environment

This role supports a geographically distributed portfolio with a remote-first approach. Operations span key locations including Boise, Chicago, Houston, Olympia, and Pensacola, allowing flexibility while maintaining on-site presence as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual salary ranges from $240,000 to $312,000, reflecting experience and scope of responsibility.
