Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of financial planning and analysis
- Develop and maintain accurate financial models
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure timely and precise financial reporting
- Guide strategic financial decision-making across departments
- Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors
- Supervise internal financial controls and compliance
- Collaborate with department heads on financial planning
- Drive cost management and efficiency initiatives
- Lead capital planning and fundraising strategy
- Evaluate new business opportunities from a financial perspective
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity management
- Prepare board-level financial presentations
- Establish financial policies and procedures
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
- Lead the finance team through periods of growth
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations
- Identify and mitigate financial risks
- Support mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships when needed
- Optimize financial systems and tools
- Improve forecasting accuracy and scenario planning
- Align financial goals with company strategy
- Manage external investor reporting
- Provide insights to executive leadership
- Scale financial operations as the company expands
Nice to Have
- MBA or advanced finance degree
- CPA or CFA certification
- Experience in a public company setting
- Prior experience as a CFO or interim CFO
