About the Role
This role is responsible for overseeing all engineering operations in the Americas region, aligning technical direction with organizational goals, managing senior engineering leads, and ensuring high-performance delivery across development teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor senior engineering managers and technical leads across the region
- Define and implement long-term engineering strategies that support scalability and innovation
- Oversee the delivery of complex software systems with high reliability and security standards
- Collaborate with global technology leaders to align regional efforts with enterprise-wide objectives
- Drive engineering best practices including DevOps, CI/CD, and code quality standards
- Ensure consistent adoption of cloud infrastructure and modern architecture patterns
- Manage engineering budgets, resource planning, and capacity forecasting
- Champion engineering culture, including inclusion, continuous learning, and psychological safety
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve system performance and developer productivity
- Partner with product and data teams to deliver integrated, user-centered solutions
- Establish metrics and reporting frameworks to monitor team performance and system health
- Lead incident response and system resilience planning for critical platforms
- Support talent acquisition by identifying engineering hiring needs and evaluating candidates
- Develop career pathways and growth opportunities for engineering staff
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements
- Foster collaboration between regional engineering teams and global counterparts
- Drive post-mortem reviews and continuous improvement processes after major incidents
- Represent engineering in executive discussions and strategic planning sessions
- Promote knowledge sharing and standardization across technical teams
- Evaluate third-party vendors and technology partners for integration or procurement
- Guide the adoption of agile methodologies and iterative development practices
- Oversee technical documentation and system architecture governance
- Lead transformation initiatives such as platform modernization or cloud migration
- Ensure engineering decisions support accessibility and equitable user experiences
- Maintain alignment with enterprise architecture and security policies
