About the Role
The position requires leading compliance strategy and operations across Eurasia, ensuring alignment with local and international regulations, managing risk exposure, and acting as the designated MLRO with direct accountability for reporting obligations and control frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of regional compliance policies
- Serve as the designated Money Laundering Reporting Officer for Eurasia
- Ensure adherence to AML, CTF, and sanctions regulations
- Manage regulatory relationships and coordinate inspections
- Oversee compliance risk assessments across jurisdictions
- Guide internal investigations related to financial crime
- Collaborate with legal and security teams on enforcement matters
- Monitor changes in regulatory landscapes across Eurasia
- Implement compliance training programs for staff
- Support new market entry with regulatory analysis
- Evaluate compliance posture of business initiatives
- Report compliance issues to senior management
- Maintain up-to-date compliance documentation
- Coordinate with global compliance leadership
- Ensure alignment with international regulatory standards
- Oversee transaction monitoring systems and alerts
- Lead responses to regulatory inquiries
- Support audit and control validation processes
- Enforce customer due diligence procedures
- Manage compliance reporting frameworks
- Advise business units on regulatory constraints
