Braze is looking for a Head of Business Development – Payment Gateway to lead the commercial growth and strategy for our Payment Gateway product. You will define the commercial roadmap, expand our market presence, and ensure competitiveness within the high-risk payments sector.
What You'll Do
- Define and execute the commercial and business development strategy for the Payments Gateway.
- Lead and grow the business development teams, setting clear goals and KPIs.
- Drive market expansion through strategic partnerships with payment providers, local payment representatives in targeted GEOs, and client payment support.
- Oversee pricing models, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, payment providers, gateways, and local agents.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform decision-making.
- Ensure efficient onboarding processes and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Compliance teams to deliver revenue growth and cost optimisation.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience of 7+ years in senior business development or commercial leadership roles within payments or fintech, specifically in high-risk industries.
- Strong track record in market expansion, client acquisition, and forming strategic partnerships.
- Deep understanding of payment flows, pricing models, and commercial strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and grow high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical, financial, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration experience.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global, and highly regulated environment.
