Berliner Wasserbetriebe is looking for a temporary Head of Business Administration to cover a leave of absence at our Ruhleben wastewater treatment plant. You will be responsible for complex commercial tasks, financial planning, and personnel management, reporting directly to plant management.
What You'll Do
- Lead complex commercial tasks and billing for services provided to and from third parties, including plant operation for the Senate and associations.
- Oversee the calibration and monitoring of commercial targets and key control figures for the main treatment plant area.
- Ensure the preparation of short-, medium-, and long-term economic planning, including investment and profit plans, in coordination with plant management.
- Guarantee the timely completion of monthly and annual financial statements per controlling and accounting specifications.
- Manage the processing of all payroll and personnel support matters.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Controlling, Finance and Accounting, or Industrial Engineering with solid position-relevant knowledge.
- Alternatively, certification as a Business Administrator (IHK) or state-certified Business Administrator with solid knowledge in controlling, financial planning, or business administration, plus supplementary knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor's degree.
- Solid leadership experience and a goal-oriented, strategic leadership style.
- Very good business administration knowledge and solid controlling expertise.
- Solid knowledge of economic, financial, and profit planning, key figures, and benchmarking.
- Extensive skills in order, cost, and performance accounting as well as asset accounting according to the German Commercial Code (HGB).
- Versed knowledge in asset management and in-depth technical understanding.
- Innovation capability and strong communication skills for conveying complex matters, including interdisciplinary communication.
