Cognizant is seeking a Guidewire Product Architect to join our team. In this role, you will focus on designing and developing solutions for Guidewire BillingCenter within the insurance domain. You will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, configuring and developing system components, performing testing, and ensuring system performance in our fast-growing, international environment.
What You'll Do
- Understand business requirements for Guidewire BillingCenter and design solutions based on product needs.
- Develop new screens in Guidewire Studio and configure business rules and logic in Gosu.
- Create new data model elements and extend existing data models.
- Design and develop integration components such as Plug-ins, Event Messaging, batch processes, Work Queues, REST, and SOAP APIs.
- Perform unit testing and develop automated test suites using Gunit.
- Create or modify front-end UI components.
- Provide estimates for configuration and integration work.
- Enhance operational efficiency and fix defects and incidents.
- Conduct performance analysis and solutioning for Guidewire BillingCenter.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and optimize insurance processes.
- Develop and implement solutions to enhance system functionality and user experience.
- Provide expert guidance on system configuration and customization.
- Ensure seamless integration of Guidewire modules with existing systems.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of system changes.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions.
- Document and maintain comprehensive system configurations and modifications.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and oversee the deployment of system updates.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data integrity and security.
- Contribute to strategic planning to align system capabilities with business goals.
What We're Looking For
- Domain expertise in the Insurance industry.
- Technical expertise in Guidewire BillingCenter functional and technical solution designing, development, and unit testing with Gunit.
- Hands-on configuration knowledge in Charge Invoicing, Delinquency, Payment and Credit management, Disbursement management, Write-off, Trouble Ticket and Activity handling.
- Experience developing integration components including Event Messaging, Work-Queue, Plug-ins, REST, and SOAP APIs.
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- Extensive experience in the Insurance domain with a focus on Guidewire and GW BillingCenter.
- Strong analytical skills to assess and optimize business processes.
- Proficiency in system configuration and customization.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills for facilitating workshops and training.
- Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting system issues.
