Instacart is hiring a Growth Creative Director to lead the creative vision that powers our growth. You will blend compelling storytelling with data-driven strategy to create high-converting creative across all paid and owned channels. In this role, you will build and inspire a team, architect systems for scalable creative production, and drive AI-led transformation in the creative workflow.
What You'll Do
- Build and lead a world-class creative team across performance design and copy.
- Own performance creative direction across Paid and CRM channels in partnership with marketing.
- Drive AI-led transformation by integrating AI and automation into every stage of the creative workflow.
- Architect the creative engine for scale by designing workflows, pipelines, and systems for high-volume production.
- Scale creative globally to deliver locally relevant creative across international markets.
- Partner with Growth leadership to align creative strategy with media and analytics.
- Champion collaboration and culture to empower creative teams to test boldly and move quickly.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years leading creative teams in performance marketing, growth, or digital advertising.
- At least 5 years managing multi-disciplinary teams at scale.
- Proven experience building and scaling large in-house creative organizations for high-volume performance advertising.
- Deep understanding of performance creative dynamics across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Search, CRM, In-App, and emerging channels.
- Demonstrated ability to design workflows, systems, and processes for speed, efficiency, and creative excellence.
- Strong track record of integrating AI tools and automation platforms into creative production.
- Experience leading global creative operations, including localization strategies and culturally relevant creative development.
- Exceptional ability to translate performance insights into clear strategic creative direction.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional partnership skills.
- Comfortable operating in fast-moving, experimental environments where volume, speed, and quality must coexist.

- Bonus points for experience in music, creator ecosystems, or high-growth consumer apps.
- Bonus points for experience in food, grocery, advertising, or high-growth consumer apps.

Benefits & Compensation
- Base salary ranges: CA, NY, CT, NJ: $232,000-$245,000 USD; WA: $222,000-$234,500 USD; OR, DE, ME, MA, MD, NH, RI, VT, DC, PA, VA, CO, TX, IL, HI: $213,000-$225,000 USD; All other states: $194,000-$204,500 USD.
- Eligible for a new hire equity grant as well as annual refresh grants.
