This role leads group accounting operations, ensuring compliance with German GAAP and IFRS while overseeing the preparation of consolidated financial statements across multiple jurisdictions. You will play a central role in financial reporting, tax compliance, and the integrity of group-wide financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and delivery of consolidated financial reports with accuracy and on schedule
- Ensure adherence to German tax regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of local requirements
- Drive the migration of group consolidation from LucaNet to NetSuite, including implementation of Multi-Book and OneWorld
- Manage and optimize accounting operations within both LucaNet and NetSuite environments
- Design scalable accounting processes and system architectures to support growth
- Map and refine the chart of accounts to align with evolving business needs
- Identify inefficiencies and lead process improvements to enhance accuracy, compliance, and scalability
- Use financial data and analytics to assess reporting quality and performance trends
- Document accounting processes, system configurations, and technical analyses
- Collaborate with local accounting teams to ensure consistency and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes
- Break down complex initiatives into actionable roadmaps that balance value delivery with risk management
- Work independently to drive projects while engaging cross-functional stakeholders
Qualifications
You bring at least seven years of experience in group accounting, with a track record of leading financial consolidation and reporting under German GAAP and IFRS. You have hands-on experience in tech or startup environments and a solid grasp of German tax compliance. Familiarity with NetSuite is essential, and experience with LucaNet—especially in migration contexts—is highly valuable.
Strong analytical abilities, precision in execution, and fluency in both English and German are required. You are comfortable influencing teams across functions and driving change in dynamic settings.
